Terms of Service

The rules and conditions governing use of the Studuet platform by students, tutors and visitors.

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Studuet ("the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Studuet Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Studuet. If you are under 18, you must have consent from a parent or legal guardian. By using Studuet you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Account registration

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering
  • You may not share your account with others or impersonate another user
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at support@studuet.com

4. Student conduct

As a student you agree to:

  • Attend or cancel booked sessions with at least 24 hours notice
  • Treat tutors with respect during sessions
  • Not record sessions without the tutor's explicit consent
  • Use session notes and materials for personal study only, not redistribution
  • Not attempt to circumvent the platform by arranging private payments with tutors

5. Tutor conduct

As a tutor you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your qualifications and experience
  • Deliver sessions at the agreed time and quality standard
  • Maintain professional conduct at all times
  • Not solicit students for off-platform sessions
  • Comply with Studuet's tutor quality standards and verification requirements

6. Payments and refunds

  • All payments are processed securely through our payment partners (Stripe, PayPal, Paystack, Flutterwave)
  • Session fees are charged at the time of booking
  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a session receive a full refund
  • Late cancellations (under 24 hours) may be charged 50% of the session fee
  • Studuet retains a platform commission on each completed session
  • OLC bonuses are awarded at our discretion and have no cash value

7. Cognitive Learning Profile (CLP)

Your CLP is generated from your assessment responses. You acknowledge that:

  • CLP scores are educational tools, not clinical assessments or medical diagnoses
  • Scores may evolve as you complete more assessments and sessions
  • Studuet does not guarantee specific learning outcomes

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Studuet platform — including software, design, question banks, CLP methodology, and branding — is owned by Studuet Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

Content you upload (study notes, flashcards) remains yours. By uploading it you grant Studuet a limited licence to store and display it for the purpose of providing the service.

9. Prohibited activities

You must not:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its systems
  • Upload malicious code, spam, or misleading content
  • Use automated bots or scrapers without written permission
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Share exam questions from official boards in a way that violates copyright

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studuet Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will give you at least 14 days notice of material changes via email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
